Canon 17-40 f/4L IS
There's a rumor over at POTN in regards to a new 17-40. I agree there will be a version II coming, maybe even for PMA. I have doubts it will have IS however. The 16-35 II didn't get it.

New Canon 1d Camera?
There is a report from some insiders that Canon is currently testing cameras in the 24mp and 25fps range (could this be canon's much rumoured HD movie mode for photo journalists?). As I thought, Canon will be replacing the 1d3 as soon as possible. An announcement could be for Photokina for an early 2009 release.
Hopefully the camera(s) can autofocus.
Conflicting reports about a 5D replacement? There is at least one insider reporting there will be a 5D “related launch” at PMA.
No 5D successor until the fall.
From a US Canon Rep: “Stay home if you are looking for anything like a 5D follow on at PMA. We just introduced 2 cameras last year – it will not be until the Fall until we do anything with the 5D line.”
I believe him too. Fall release for a crazy Christmas season.
Canon Rebel 450D Specs? REVISED
It is rumored the 450D will be announced January 24th, 2008. That would be a week before PMA begins.
