Reader submission
A reader pointed out a site that has the 70-200 f/4L on clearance? Are they just clearing their own stock, or is Canon planning to drop the non-IS lenses?

I can't see Canon selling a lot of 70-200 f/2.8L's anymore, so dumping that would make sense. I think they still sell a lot of the f/4 non-IS version though. If they do cancel it, perhaps we'll see a nice drop in their IS lenses.
Thanks for the tip.
UPDATE
A reader pointed out the link price is about right with the rest of the market. The odd things is the “clearance” listing. There have been times in the past that some random store has some info about stuff like this.
Or Maybe I got baited into posting a link to their product. :)

S5 being cleared out
I received some good information that the S5 IS will be available (in Canada at least) until the end of September, and then will be replaced. I think we all knew this.
I'll press a bit for some more info about the S6 IS, see if it's different from earlier information.
Henry's
Henry's in Canada has already instituted the $150 price drop on the XSi 18-55 kit. It's at $849, and they've further reduced it $20 to $829. Body Only has dropped to $729.

I'm also told that there will be a sale on the camera in a week or so, dropping more money off it.
The XS will be coming in at $749 in the 18-55 IS kit. I could see its street price at $699.
Canon USA should follow shortly (if they haven't already, no time to check)
