An anonymous source sent in info about the 24-70 f/2.8L IS.

“I have tested the 24-70 2.8L IS lens and can say it is coming for Photokina. There has been an upgrade to the optics and the addition of a 4 stop image stabilization system. The lens is the same size as the current model and slightly heavier.”

Hopefully this lens is priced high enough that Canon can put USM in it. :)
