End of October
Adorama was questioned again about availability and they say the end of October again. So that’s everyone outside of B&H saying so.
However, don’t be surprised if they’re as hard to come by as a Wii a Christmas.
In Canada, I’m being told the first third of November for arrival.

I’m 5th on the Samy’s list from L.A. and I called today. I’m getting the kit which is a different pre-order list than the body only. They said end of October/1st November. I bought my original 20D and my current 40D from them and they’ve been pretty spot on when they’ve told me delivery dates…

Wooohooo! I’m glad I pre-ordered. Probably not one of the first, but I did order within 24 hours of it showing up on Amazon. Beginning of November, wow…
I’ll post if I get an update from Amazon.

Yes please let us know what you find out about Amazon. I pre-ordered from them on day 2 and have been trying to contact them with no reponse.

Talked to various including Adorama, they said in few weeks so end of Oct but it will be the kit. The body only will come in end of Nov.

Just talked to Dustin (large swedish website) and they said that they expect to deliver (body only) october 21 :-)
I also asked how many they have sold and he said between 10 and 15, so then I had to ask him how many they are expecting in the first batch and he told me 50…

adorama told me they have so far have sold about 1000 pre-orders hence inability to find the pre-order page (on amazon also).

I called around and everyone is saying Mid Nov for people who have ordered when it was first announced and rest of the folks would be new years.
Adorama have told me yesterday that they would have it but you will be lucky if you get one this year if you just ordered one now.
