When will these fools learn to read and also write in English.

If they gleened enough from reading it in English. What's so hard about putting their comment in a language everyone understands?
This is not cr.BE or cr.MX!

Canon already used a pellicle mirror before, so nothing new there. However this particular configuration seems a breach of tradition (higher megapixels... professional camera's do not have an APS-C sensor) and therefore not so believable. But I would like to see the return of the pellicle mirror very much (for quiet shooting with uninterrupted view through the finder, especially when shooting wideopen which I almost always do).

hh said: "…while the non-moving mirror may now supposedly protect the sensor from dust, doesn’t this now mean that we have to clean the mirror?"

Yeah I thought that. I suppose as it's further away from the sensor the dust will be very blurred so might not be visible. But the only way to make cleaning completely unnecessary is to keep the lens in place at all times.

It sounds like a 'dream' list to a certain degree.

However, to play Devil's Advocate and assume that it is all 100% true...

...while the non-moving mirror may now supposedly protect the sensor from dust, doesn't this now mean that we have to clean the mirror?

:-)
