yea, me 2, lets hope Canon updates the 70-200 f/2.8 IS with better optics (as good as the f/4 IS or better hopefully), 4 stop IS and perhaps slightly lighter weight?

Im holding of buying a 70-200 till canon updates it. Ill get by with a prime. A 70-200 f2.8 IS with 5 stops stabilization but with the sharpness of the f4 IS would be heaven.

They should update the IS of their 28-135mm consumer zoom.

Then a 24-70mm F2.8L IS would be nice.

Heck, I would like to see an improved 70-200 f/2.8 IS, yeah there are still room for improvement for the almost perfect zoom lens. Better optics and perhaps f/2??

I definitely agree the 24-70 f/2.8 should have IS!!!! the only downside is that it has no IS!!!

Darn it, I want the 14-24mm f2.8, careless about overpriced prime ones.

Why not 14-24mm L IS USM to challenge Nikon's ultrawide? Canon's 14mm is very costly. An ultra-ultrawide zoom will be great.

Yes they should either update it with an f/2 instead of f/2.8 and or wider focal range- 55-200mm or 70-250mm preferable all with 5 stop IS. Better yet f/2.8 70-300mm 5 stop IS! canon needs to update all their old lenses.

Since there is "EF-S 17-55 F/2.8 IS", why not "EF-S 50-150 F/2.8 IS" ?
Sigma shows that this can be a small alternative with less weight to "EF 70-200 F/2.8 L".

Adam, the 70-200 is too tight at the 70mm end on a crop body for many situations.
