And today's Dslr's needed higher ISO with very low noise isn't possible with out new technology like the Black Silicon. The Black Silicon technology advance provide for very high ISO with low noise. But that technology into the Dslr market is 6-12 years away. It would be possible to make the pixels small enough to make a 50 megapixel APS-C sensor that would be equivalent to Canon's 50D and still have enough room for ISO of 102,400. But for now expect the 1.6 crop to max out at 22 megapixels and crawl from there until new sensor technology comes to hand. APS-H around the corner.
