I’m told Canon Canada in Mississauga has the cameras in stock, the Calgary warehouse is still waiting. Allocation will begin when they’re availabe in Calgary.

With the availability of the 5Dmk2 in China, Netherland, and now Canada,… any word on the United States? I’ve checked with OneCall, B&H, and Adorama who said by the end of the month. Still nothing confirmed.

The same is for Denmark – MY retailer here in Denmark tells me that my 5d mark II has been moved forward to the 26th to arrive with me. Before it was 28th.
So I think they are releasing it now:)

Oh man! This would be incredible! Perhaps most cameras are already in place, just waiting for the ‘go ahead’ sign!

Today I asked the Canon guy at a Sammy’s Camera here in the States in Los Angeles and he said they will have them in a couple of weeks
pre-ordered mine a month ago…cant wait!

I was told they would start to shipping by the 21st, but you have to give it a week or so to get here. One camera dealer on the west coast told me they will definitely be here by the 28th, which I believe is Black Friday. Makes sense.

Even if it’s mentioned on the canon.nl website that the camera would be available as from 24/11. There is no trace of active stock in the (web)shops, I have ordered one as from the presentation and sales people from the shop ask me to be patient and say they don’t have any details whet they will get the ordered stock !

Yesterday at Lozeau store in Montreal, it remained the 5th of december.

Ok today I called Canon NL again about there post on there website and they told me they will get the camera today or in the next couple of days. They will then send it to the rest of the shops ;) I got 2 pre-orders right now 1 @ CalumetPhoto where I am #12 on the list and 1 @ MediaMarkt where I am #2 (they keep 1 for demo) :)

Asked Henrys this morning, their response was a little more optimistic “Unconfirmed but the camera may begin shipping this week.” Now it is a question of how many shipped vs how many pre-orders.

Just spoke to Adorama rep who indicated that the cameras are coming in next week. If you are not already on the pre-order list, it will take 3-5 weeks or longer to receive your 5Dmk2. Contacted B&H who is is pretty tight in giving any info. B&H rep indicates a delivery in Dec. only. Not taking any pre-orders till B&H can receive/confirm their inventory. Can only monitor via online or phone call to when they will receive the product to place the order. Boo on all U.S. orders!

Still no 5d mark II avilable in the big dutch shops :-( And still nobody like to give a confirmation when it will be.
