I definitely didn't cancel my 5DmkII order, but I bet in a year or so RED will have the FF35 brain price down and it would be more affordable for people interested in "combo cameras". I could see myself shooting with the RED Scarlet v2 on set and walking around with the Canon 5DmkII around my neck taking establishing shots/documentation. It will be interesting to see what the Scarlet's IQ and ISO performance are like. Maybe the Canon 5DmkII will surpass it for the independent film makers.
