Thank you for the sensible critique. Me & my neighbour were preparing to do some research about that. We got a good book on that matter from our local library and most books where not as influensive as your information. why have a 3d while we already have one then ?

all what they have to do is to name the 1d as 3d and name the 1ds as 1d and here we got a new camera in our hands. :)

I will like an eos 3d as googd as original Eos 3 (from 1998):
*AIM System with 45-point Area AF, 21-zone Metering & Eye Controlled Focus
*Ultra-high-speed predictive AF up to 7 fps with optional Power Drive Booster
*Pehaps fixed pellicle miror like Eos rt (1989) or Eos 1 rs, to improve the lag and preserve the sensor from dust
*16 mpx is a number that sounds good, full frame .

It will not be an EOS 1dxx, it will be like EOS 3.

What a great idea. I just registered my cameras or should I say I just created an inventory list :) Hope the site takes off, I see some good potential there.

Why would a 3D have 2.0 cropped sensor? It doesn’t make sense.

If anything it will be a modern day version of the EOS 3 film body with less MP’s than the 5D II, but with pro AF.

Personally, I can see the *D bodies all being full frame in the future and all **D, ***D and ****D bodies being cropped.
