My wish list for 2009

1). New stadard lenses good enough for EOS 1ds mk III. Why can't Canon have a series of lenses that can comped with Leica and Hasselblad. I really need a better 24-70 2,8.

2). Better flashes. A new Speedlight 720 EX could have been cool. But the most important thing is faster recyceling, better bild quality and softer light.

Just to let you know I rarely visit the site, but it's in my RSS feed and I read every post you put up. Just in case you ever worry about the number of hits.

Thanks for this site.

@Mike

I'm waiting on getting my 5D Mark II with the new firmware to finish the testing. I will say the 50mm isn't nearly as strong as the 85 1.4, which I'm a big fan of.

I had to send the lenses back to Zeiss, but I will request the 85 1.4 again to test with the 21mp FF sensors.

Thanks!

Any word on the zeiss lens review you've been promising? I am torn between this and canon and am interested to see some results on a canon body to see if the extra cost plus loss of AF is worth it.
