It will just have people stop shooting raw. I'm happily shooting raw on my 350D. 8 mpx gives incredible RAW images at just 6MB. And I get all the benefit of RAW. 15 mpx RAW images will be much heavier to process and bigger files. Too bad for the average Rebel. I guess half resolution RAW is per definition impossible...
