I bought exactly this “kit” last week Thursday. It is offered in Munich/Germany by “Foto Video Sauter” as well.

However, this is *not* a Canon kit, but one tailored by the retailer. And let me tell, what a “kit” this it – I LOVE IT.

If you look closley, its offering it with a 24-70L IS (a non existant lens at this time) not the normal Brick that we all love

That lens would make me buy the 5D II.
Right now, I’ve no desire whatsoever for this camera.. but that’d certainly make me think.

Hi guys – I’m from Poland :)
They say that date of introduction of this kit is not yet announced (preorder only). The price is quite nice though, below EUR 3,1k. Yet observing the local market, Canon is increasing the prices heavily, so next day it would probably rise high.

The good news is that yen has been declining sharply against the dollar recently. This might put an end to the price hike, I hope.

It might be possible Canon would really make this lens. I wrote to this store and they answered me that Canon confirmed this item and that this lens will be sold as a kit with 5DmkII at the begining… I sent reply from that store to CR admin…
