Of course, I'm not trying to take video in the middle of a crowd (you sometimes see people with their arms held up high trying to video over other people's heads)... Not sure what else it would be useful for. My live view is fine, and I usually use a tripod. You know you can change brightness settings, right? I wouldn’t say it’s indispensable.
