Quite frankly, I feel as if I wasted my time registering. On that board I can’t hold a professional conversation and expect it to both not be deleted and taken seriously.

While you joke, I guess you don’t see the issue. Would you like it if, in your professional workplace, your secretary constantly misspelled words in letters sent to your customers? What if he/she completely ignored, and actually removed any existance of, a request to simply use spellcheck?

While a very minor issue, the actions taken to defend the status quo show the problem with these administrator power-happy communities. Do I care in the long run? No, my life isn’t going to be wasted on Cinema5D any longer, and this will be my last post about the subject.

And if it makes you feel better, there are some other “professional” forums where posts are deleted , account disabled without notice nor previous advice, and only due to admin’s disliking the kind of post (even when it wasn’t offensive nor harmful at all)

So, the lesson for me is to try to be friendly everywhere, post constructive topics whenever possible, don’t criticize (as almost everyone do), avoid ironic comments, and be happy.

There are always, everywhere, good and helpfull people, Although they might not be the most common to find…

Well, my only post critiquing the improper grammar and abundance of misused apostrophes littering the site was deleted. No action was taken to rectify the issue.

For a site tailoring to professional gear, I feel insulted participating when faced with unprofessional, prominent language constructs. I shouldn’t have to see “Full Rig’s” and cringe every time I visit the site.

I find Cinema5D to be a very nice one indeed.

Indeed, it has been one place to notify and spread a
PETITION TO CANON Inc. suggesting and requesting FULL MANUAL CONTROL for Movie mode and Other features also related to Still shooting, that can be implemented via FIRMWARE UPDATES.

Even if a Firmware update is really coming, the petition can help for future updates.

The moderator jumped in and made a reply that did not even relate to the question, and when others called him on it, he said, oh well, he should be using a Mac anyway.

This is not helpful to a person seeking help, the moderator didn’t even know he was in the PC forum, he later admitted, and then basically said you shouldn’t own a pc anyway.
