It’s just about midnight March 25th at the GMT timezone… Maybe there’s a news embargo that expires as soon as it’s March 25th?

The video is 720p 30 and 1080p 24F Not 20fps. Almost sure about that.

24F would rock…even if you had to do pulldown.

Pulldown is just a pain the rear. End of story. Now if it was true 24P, the awesome!

They are idiots…. Canon that is. I hope they go bankrupt.

    20fps. ( 20fps ) “”Yelling”" That’s stupid and it’s so calculated. 5D MII goes over 24fps in 1080P to 30. The Ti goes under in 1080P to 20fps.

I hate them, I hate them. Because they are game players with us the consumer. Jeez, my HV30 does 24. Retards…..

Sorry for the rant, I’m just sick of corporate greed and compartmentalization of products and specs…

Long live Red and what they stand for.

    Hank, not happy!

    Relax!
Just wait for a hack from the Ukraine, or some such place, to unpack the buried features in the software.

how about waiting for the official announcement rather then flipping about a rumor… for all we know someone mis-spoke and its infact 24p

Hmm, interesting. I think the grip is wider and the body a bit more square. Otherwise the CNET heading says “delivers video capture at the lowest DSLR price yet.” Nikon D90 is currently $889. So I am guessing $799-$849 price tag.

How can you tell the grip is wider? That would be nice… otherwise it looks the same as the XSi.

BTW, it doesn’t look like that’s the 18-55 kit lens. Something new?

I could tell based on comparing the screen cap posted earlier and an xsi.

Well I’ll be…. If they do 24p, I’m really in a pickle as to what to buy. I was pretty sure a 5D2, but this might make me get this and then a 5D1 as well instead. Ugggghhh. Too many choices.

I was convinced I was not getting a camera this year. If this is true, Canon might pull some cash out of me yet.

any confirmation on the swivel screen? did anyone get to see it on the video before they took it down?

  12. DN Says:

If this is seriously all that they’re doing then five bucks says the 60D later this year will have 1080p @ 30fps and that’s about it for changes.

not sure if anyone was looking at anything except the body, but was there any notice of what lens was on this? i know there was talk of possibly a new kit lens coming.

I put no stock in the video. She is a retard. She said that the 50D’s resolution was 14.7 MP (G10) and that the CA mode debuted on the 5D mkII and then came on the 50D, which reverses the release dates of the cameras
