You have to be by far the most arrogant person I’ve come across in a very long time. Both comments you made on this page clearly demonstrate how out of touch and narrow minded you are.
You don’t make history, you take pictures of people who make history. So don’t get a big head over nothing. Your just a messenger here. You are about a dime a dozen.
It’s not the camera that makes the photographer but the photographer that takes the pictures that makes the camera.
So, enjoy your 1Ds or 1D or whatever camera you have and I’ll be sure to enjoy my 400d.

If it had a Full Frame sensor with a 1.3 crop funtion and maybe a 1.6 crop funtion as well, that would be so handy. Best of both worlds!!

According to Paul Pope (the most reliable source in DPReview), it will have a new AF sensor design and imaging sensor. Ok, ok… that’s totally expected.

regarding specs:

I’m hoping for a pellicle mirror AF system to allow increased framerate.

I think some of your specs are a little unrealistic, like built in gps and bluetooth, WiFi I could see happenning though.

Do you really want a touch screen though? The menu layout is so fast as it is, I just see a touch screen as a hazard. OLED would be nice, but might be next gen instead of this one…

Dunno. I hope so. But companies have to cut back somewhere if they’re posting losses. What I heard was about new Canon prosumer video cameras being delayed, and NAB seems to have confirmed it given they did not annouce them there even though Panasonic and JVC are leaping ahead of them in that department.

Absolutely a pro can nail a shot with an entry level body. The issue is more about toughness. When you’re getting paid you can’t afford your equipment to break on you during a shoot.

And pros should be able to nail shots
with a 4 year old entry level body…
but having top qualiy gear can make life easier.

I’d like to see:
-15mp +-
-FF/crop abilitys
-movie mode
-gps built in
-RF flash with 2way com with flash,
and that flash can control/relay
instructions to the slaves(rf or ir)
-WiFi ‘N’
-Bluetooth to connect to cell and send pics
-touchscreen would be cool
-oled also cool
-attach notes to pics

-I don’t think fps will improve much, unless they do away with the mirror

personally I prefer the 1.3x when using super-tele’s because it does a better job of preserving the bokeh, though I do understand the need of a longer crop for wildlife, etc…

Don’t mind me. I’m an image making whore who does not care if my clients want still or motion or what format (position)it ends up in.
