Personally I think given the huge Canon product line and new cameras released each year the problems are relatively few, and they get fixed.

I just think it lacks reasonable perspective. We completely disagree that the Nikon D3, D90, D300, D40 etc. are point and shoot cameras, as they all had problems, all had firmware undates to fix problems, and if you search on google you will find tons of user complaints on Nikon DSLR's in various photography forums from a google search. Perspective matters. No one comapny makes perfect products. If you shot in RAW or JPEG for instance there were no problems, and it was fixed in a firmware update as all camera companies fix problems like that.
