In favour of CF, strongly in favour of inbuildt GPS.
Shoe-mounted external GPS units do not let you use fill flash and are an extra thing to carry around.
Would love if it were smaller and lighter than the 7D.

I would really love GPS! This would be the pivotal point to make me upgrade from 40D wich otherwise is quite perfect for my needs. A GPS logger is still an extra device to carry with you, makes the camera bulkier (won't fit into the camera bag with it attached), and you cannot use fill flash when it is attached.

SD would be a bit of a let down, as these tiny cards easily get lost (or I buy one very big one to stay in the camera permanently). However, I probably have to live with that - hope they keep the battery format at least.

What's the expected timeframe for the 50D successor? the 50D was announced in Aug-08, but I don;t know if canon is on a 12 or a 18 month cycle anymore

Re: GPS comments: I bought a Qstarz BT-Q1000X GPS tracker and carry it on a small ring attached to the left shoulder-strap-stud on my 40D. Recently used it during a four-week bird-photo trip, and it worked without any hassle. It is very light, so not noticeable to carry on the camera (especially considering I carry 100-400 and the battery pack on the 40D). USB2 connection for data and to recharge. The software comes with a learning curve, but does the job. It does, among other things, coordinate with Google Earth, write exif into photos, allow correction of date/time stamp if camera and GPS tracker were not correctly time coordinated, etc. Well worth the 100-bucks I paid for it. And, if you want a GPS tracker but don't need to carry the camera, just unhook it from the ring and hook to your belt ... or whatever.

I'll shoot almost 50 weddings this year with a fleet of three 40Ds. Love the file output for the price. Passed on the 50D because of the HighISO performance.

If the 60D addresses the ISO issue, sign me up for three.

CF? No way. Too many people brought their "heavenly" 32GB etc...@ this speed for high prices. It's more like 1 card that will last them forever. Now I am forced to use a SD card?

SD card for G-series, totally reasonable. SD for SLR, keep that for the base-line series please.

How can a SDHC be the future when limited to 32GB (strict spec)? If SD, it must be SDXC!
A better alternative, if not CF, could be CFast, which is the SATA variant of the PATA CF...
