July 31st, 2009 Posted in Canon Firmware

Canon has announced a firmware update for the 50D:
Please be advised of the availability of a firmware update version 1.0.7 for the EOS 50D digital camera.

Firmware Version 1.0.7 incorporates the following changes.

1. Corrects a phenomenon where captured images may tend to appear somewhat magenta depending on the scene.
2. Fixes incorrect indications on the Arabic, Romanian, Spanish and Ukrainian menu screens.

Firmware Version 1.0.7 is for cameras with firmware up to Version 1.0.6. If the camera’s firmware version is 1.0.7, it is not necessary to update the firmware.

Great article. There’s a lot of good information here, though I did want to let you know something – I am running Ubuntu with the circulating beta of Firefox, and the look and feel of your blog is kind of bizarre for me. I can read the articles, but the navigation doesn’t function so well.
