in your dreams! The T1i is $800. FF 60D form factor is the best you could hope for at $2,000.

Notice the G11 is *only* 10MP but the G10 was 14.9. Canon finally realized MP is not everything and IQ was more important?

+1 Thats a dumbed down techno-flagship from Canon… The market has loads of better all-around P&S solutions with more zoom and HD video. For a quality image people get dSLR these days… The demand for this one will be quite limited. Hard to sell a P&S without HD video for $600CAD

that is expensive for no HD video, (though I did pay $700 for my s400 the first day it came out)

I don’t think we’ll ever see a rebel sized FF, as I don’t think there is room for the mirror. Am I right?
that doesn’t mean we won’t see a rebel FF.

    Bring on the DSLRs! ! ! ! !

Maybe he’d settle for the IQ and ISO performance (and price) of the D700. I know I certainly would, especially if it was at 6+ FPS.

Looks like offical leaks from Canon if you ask me. I’ve been wanting to but the 50D for a few months now but I’ve been holding off for the 60D/7D announcement.
If they announce it in early September, when can we expect to see it on the shelves of out local camera store????
Can anyone guess from past DSLR announcement experiernce??

I have got a overseass trip coming up in early October and dont think I could go without a SLR!

    Come on Canon!!!! haha
Anyone got any ideas? I think its usually a month…

I don’t think the Powershot prices are leaks, they are the Canadian prices. No secrecy here.

It would make sense if the 7d was a slow, low mp (for today) FF sensor with 1080p video.

It is probably going to be the first consumer level FF body.

I might consider it if Nikon’s D700x is not what I want.

    My oh my …
European prices are ridiculous, if not absurd or pathetic:
    G11 : 499$ > 589€
    S90 : 429$ > 469€
    Do i need to reassess that 1$ = 0.69950€ ?

When will manufacturers stop consider us like fools ?
