Nothing yet! I have seen some announcements wait until 1AM EST.
Canon USA’s point and shoot section is ready to go. Prices and “NEW” tags have been removed from various cameras.

New 20x w/HD CCD
An email swears there will be a new Canon superzoom to replace the SX10 IS.
Another source says it will not have full 1080p HD video and the SX1 would stay current.
Also being replaced/Discontinued.

Dropped rating on this one to [CR2]. The source is solid, I just have a lot of issue with the spec list. The sloppy whiteout on the LCD too.
In favor of being true *UPDATE*
I do notice the grip on the front doesn’t match any current G camera. The G7 & G9 didn’t have a large grip and the G10′s grip doesn’t curve down. That would be very fine attention to detail for a hoax.

There will be a ton of announcements tonight. I have conflicting reports of what to expect tonight, but I’ll post the stuff from the best sources.

I’m told if an SLR is announced tonight, it would be a new Rebel. The 60D/7D is being held until the first week in September.
There is also a conflicting report that the 1D Mark IV will be announced in September and we can expect the new Rebel and 60D tonight.
Sorry I can’t be more specific!
Lenses
A new macro is on the way for sure. It will be stabilized. It may be held over until the SLR announcements.

“At an NFL preseason game on Friday night in NJ, some newspaper photogs were talking about a prototype PRO camera that they saw earlier in the week.” The person followed up stating that they heard it “first hand, and that the photographers work for one of the major outlets and said they saw the camera in their offices – they are using a lot of 5D’s now because of the video features and are looking forward to using a pro camera with video.”

Pretty realistic specs for the upcoming G11
The upcoming G11 is pretty obvious, I think the GX1 rumor has been debunked by now.

“I was checking up on some of the entries again and they changed the S90 IS information to be a SD980 IS, it kept the same model of 3635B001 and UPC of 013803116076, it even has the same SKU. The only thing that changed was the brief description to SD980 IS and the in stock date to 11-08-2009 as well as the price to $599.99. I am not sure really what they are up to and am sorry for any confusion. I just figured I would keep you up to date on what I find. If I were to do any sort of interpreting it seems they are entering place holders in the system where the UPC, Model and SKU appear to be the same.”

Here are the unedited emails I received today
“Hey, checked things out at work and the Best Buy inventory system has the 7D in it. The body is listed at $2699.99 with a UPC of 013803117493 and the canon model number of 3814B004. The kit with a EF 28-135, which seems strange to me is selling for $2899.99 and has a model of 3814B010 UPC of 013803117530. The price seems to match the lens compared to the body.
The G11 is also in the system selling for 599.99 and a model number of 3632B001 and UPC of 013803116458.
Interestingly looks like they are coming back with the S line again with the S90 IS. Retail is listed at $499.99, model is 3635B001 and a UPC of 013803116076….”
The same person sent the following a couple of days ago
“I was looking into the inventory system at Best Buy and saw two new products in the canon line up.The description for them is “Canon Powershot SX-A” and SX-B. The SX-A has a model number of 3633B001 and a upc of 0138031133662 and is selling for 399.99. The SX-B Black has a model number of 3634B001 with a UPC of 013803114201 and is selling for 249.99. That is all I can find out about them right now, hope that they make some sense to you.”
Any confirmation would be great, as would some “Mr Blurrycam” shots of the inventory screen (don’t get fired).
Just in case
I couldn’t find any of those UPC or model numbers in current Canon products, I didn’t look for too long though. If you can verify any of the above model/upc numbers belong to current products, let me know.
