BUT she is spot on that canonrumors and photorumors do seem to cook rumors together. They were the first two sites to post the 1500D/T1 rumor today, with only <60 minutes or so separating them according to google, and a very similar text and content of the rumor itself.

The built-in flash commander is based on built-in flash. Canon dslr above 7d don’t have built in flash… So the question is, will the 7d be the only one? I don’t think so.
Why not let to incrase sales of speedlites by ***d and **d series users?

But there is a chance that the commander is some way limited in camera menu – no ratio ability or etc.

Plus, I just can’t pay so much for a crop sensor camera. A 60D should be considerably cheaper.

For nearly $2k, I’d rather think about a used D700 or new Sony 850.

Consider Nikon’s lineup – D300-D90-D5000. When the D90 came out all the sudden it made no sense to buy the D300 unless you needed the “pro” features like weathersealing, 51 point AF, and higher fps. Likewise, the D5000 distilled many D90 features into a smaller body. However, the D90 is still more attractive to enthusiasts with the flash commander, pentaprism, in-body AF drive etc.
