I received some badly translated information about an upcoming camera announcement. I don't know what model this would be.
Specs
– Articulating screen
– Metal body, but smaller than 50D
– Upgraded 15.1mp APS-C Sensor
– 720p Video at 30fps
– Electronic Level
– New battery & battery grip
Sounds like a new Rebel with a little more build quality. Maybe a 60D?

When I think “articulating screen”, I immediately picture Ashton Kutcher and his Nikon commercials. Ick.
They could sneak it in so long as they put a tired 1.6x to bed for good. Put the XS, XSi, and 50D to rest. Make the 60D compete more directly with the Nikon D90 (in size and form) but give it an improved 15 mpx sensor and some of the AF of the 7D. Slap on a $1199 msrp and call it a day. I’d buy it for my backup.
Not for me. Dynamic range, low ISO performance, etc are all things were a 350D (e.g.) is much better than a G11. There hasn’t been THAT much advances in sensor technology that a G11 seized sensor would have a chances to compete with APS-C. Not to mention depth of field etc…
