Dynamic range, low ISO performance, etc are all things were a 350D (e.g.) is much better than a G11. There hasn't been THAT much advances in sensor technology that a G11 seized sensor would have a chances to compete with APS-C. Not to mention depth of field etc... Not for me. Put the XS, XSi, and 50D to rest. Make the 60D compete more directly with the Nikon D90 (in size and form) but give it an improved 15 mpx sensor and some of the AF of the 7D.
