I can't believe AUTO-ISO in manual mode is still broken.

If I set ISO to AUTO, means I need AUTO, not 400.

So we had the firmware released, and there was 24/25p.. and audio fixes which is great.

So where does this leave 50fps at 720p? Can we expect it in another firmware update?

I tried to contact Canon as it would effect future purchases, but they say they have no information.

It would be better for Canon to hurt their video line sales with their own products and not loose the momentum and let other companies do that.

For shure, when shown on a film screen, projector's remanence mask the judders ... something that CRT tv wont do ...
An other factor that explain why many people don't complains about the P resolutions is that the problem is more crucial in pal countries than in ntsc land ... 25 samples per sec versus 30 samples, that make a huge difference, we (europeans, for instance) have a poorer temporal resolution for moving object or camera.

720p/60 should still be possible the camera does not use the whole sensor to shoot video. They are saving it for something else if they give you all of this in a dslr it will seriously hurt sales of the video line.

if you knew how calculatingly companies went over included, holding back every little this and that, without at all looking out for you, maybe you wouldn't think it so terrible for people to do this?

companies basically do the same sort of stuff just on the other side of the ball so why not we too?

Contact Canon???
Talk to your self, than you get an answer.
I somtimes wonder if them ever read any forums.
It must be the easiest way to find out what way to go,and if you compare Nikon with Canon the last 3 year's,than i cant understand why my 5D Mark II only have this old AF, 3,9fps,bad sealing(compare with Nikon D700)and wrong design on the card door.
Yes,21Mp and perhaps HD filming was the only thing that make me choose Canon.
And of course all Canon gears that i already have.
But i order it in october 08 and still when i get the massage from the seller(Mid jan 09) that it was ready for delivery,i still was not sure if i would choose Nikon D700 or keep my Canon gears.
Now i'm happy that i choose my Canon 5D Mk II for good picatures and the HD film, and i will not buy a new Mk III only to get this Firmware.
For me it's a mystery if it will come with only 720/30,25,24fps.
7D have that on 1080 and 720/50fps(Pal)60fps(NTSC)
I understand if it's impossible numbers with this large sensor, but thats why i cant understand why them wait?
Something seems to be wrong/odd with this delay.
maybe it's the sound?
Or something with the AF on HD filming ?
