There are rebates in Europe available. For instance in Austria I’ve seen a 10% rebate on some models. It starts today and run also till 3th April. See http://www.knips.com/websites/web_1_2/index.php?pId=home1&mediaId=home

Maybe there are rebates in the rest of Europe, hopefully in Germany too.

I am sick of waiting for canon to release
the xsi/xti lens combo rebates. I think I am
going to buy nikon d5000 where it is at a

Oh great! thanks for the info! I called Buydig today actually and they didn’t have the instant rebate in their system yet, but they told me to call them back in a day or two and discuss the situation again. Now I have a little support from your past situation Zach and I’ll let them know that their competition Adorama would have credited me. That’s all I needed to hear. Now I feel better about a possible $100 credit. Thanks Zach!

When I bought my 430 last year through Adorama I was in the same situation. I called them up and explained and they were really great about crediting me the difference. I don’t see why buydig wouldn’t do the same.

Yeah I agree, although even if they had created a 12MP – 14MP crop sensor with great low light capability and good dynamic range then I still think they could have had a winner!

henrys in canada has the 7D body only for $150 off($C1849, and 7D and 15-85is lens for $200 off($C2599)……and for those interested, the T2i with 18-55is lens, lowepro bag and extra battery for $C999…..and the 430ex flash is $60 off…..all that ifo is from their latest flyer

I think a lot of people are disappointed the 7D wasn’t a FF sensor. Perhaps that is the reason for slow sales.
Though I think it has been selling reasonably well.

now sunday – i dont notice any mention of instant rebate on any authorized canon sites nor did their prices go down. in fact amazon consistently went up a few times for the 24-70mm f2.8: a week ago it was 1290$.
