My quick review of 24-105 mug here:
http://photography-on-the.net/forum/showpost.php?p=9799226&postcount=176

And I must say that the 24-105 mug is LIGHTYEARS MUCH BETTER than 70-200 mug.

Warranties don't transfer when buying in the US and shipping to Canada. If you need any warranty work, you have to ship it back to a US dealer and a huge cost, and pay to ship it back. Don't know off hand about Canon, but Nikon has a 5 year warranty in Canada and only a 1 year in the US. Not worth trying to save a $150 on a lens, when you can have a 4 additional years of warranty in Canada!!

Good to know the 70-200mm is stainless lined.

The one I was worried about was the 24-105mm mug.

If you look at the pics, it's plastic inside!

(pics that you can see the inside of the mug are on ebay)

Thanks, CR, for keeping on top of this.
I really want one of these Big White Thermos, but since I'm realistic about things, I'm not expecting to get one. :-(
I'm happy to order one for $30 but I'm certainly not paying $100 on eBay!

Why doesn't Canon Canada just make as many as people will buy? Seems stupid to let the eBay arbitrageurs make a huge profit based on a false scarcity, when Canon must have the ability to produce as many of these as demand dictates. I guess big companies like Canon still haven't learned to use Web 2.0 to enhance their agility and responsiveness to loyal customers. Sigh.

With all the postings, I might as well add my name to the list of people who really want one of these 70-200 mugs. There is going to be a stamped for these things.

So there's nothing to stop you from buying one in the US.
And there is no duties on camera equipment.

check here photoprice.ca
