A cool Canon event
If there was one guy I wanted to meet at NAB and never had the chance, it was Shane Hurlbut. I did see him speak at the Tiffen booth and the guy just exudes passion for content creation.  I especially liked the part where he showed us how to steady a car mounted camera with sponges. Looking forward to seeing more films he's involved in.

So if you're in the LA area, it just may be worth registering for the free event.

Join Canon Live Learning for a first look at the EOS-1D C, Canon’s new 4K digital cinema camera. In the evening’s main event, Explorer of Light, Shane Hurlbut, ASC will be on hand to screen and discuss The Ticket, a short film shot exclusively on the EOS-1D C. Mr. Hurlbut will speak about his production experiences with the EOS-1D C, including how its small footprint allowed him to shoot in extremely tight set-ups while still retaining superb image quality and handling. The Ticket is a love story, set in West Hollywood, shot by Shane Hurlbut, ASC and directed by Po Chan. In addition to the screening and Mr. Hurlbut’s presentation, there will also be a brief technical introduction to the EOS-1D C by a Canon Technical Representative.
