There has been a lot of talk over the last week about the actual release date of the brand new Canon EOS 5DS and EOS 5DS R camera bodies. I have spoken to three large retailers in the USA and they have all said the same thing, they do not yet have an official sale date from Canon USA.
It was originally stated by Canon USA that we would see the cameras near the end of June, and there's no reason to think that still won't be the case.
At the time of writing this, the buyers at three major retailers do not yet have a date of sale. This could change at any moment and we'll let you know when it does.
