Why would Zeiss do this?

Why has Zeiss blacked out the Canon 5D MKII logo's on this picture about their new 35 f1.4?
At least this camera does look like a normal 5D2 to me....

maybe because the lens was presented today in both canon and nikon version

Because they want people to notice the lens, not the camera.

They succeeded.  I didn't even realize the name was blocked off the hump until this post - instead my eye immediately went to the beautiful metal ring of that lens.  What I wouldn't give to have this to play with.

Just in the same way they erased any color from the photographer clothes.

The attention is brutally brought to the metal ring on the lens  :P
