Stoke the 1D Mark V Fire
« on: August 07, 2011, 02:48:49 PM »
From Twitter Getty shooter Clive Mason had this to ask about a photograph taken by Richard Heathcote.

Richard Heathcote had previously admitted to having a preproduction 400 f/2.8L IS II last year, so he is a guy that’s in the loop.

This is from Dan Carr’s blog.

You can also see the new EF 400 f/2.8L II with a new style hardcase and lens cap.

1DV rumors are in overdrive obviously.

The camera is coming for sure - but in September, not August, and with 28mp.
The 32mp rumor is bogus.

You heard it here first ;) ;).

So where is that photograph referenced in the first post?  Screengrabs of Twitter comments don't give the full story.

Somehow I don't think it was this one, though.

If he's such a 'good photographer' why is he seemingly unable to take a decent shot of the 400mm lens?

he was using a canon in near dark situation, he should have used a d3s to get a decent photo in that light, which he unfortunately dont have :-)) simple silly!!

Are those cupholders on the left or spots for teleconverters? ;)

I wonder if those guys are now playing with some of the readers here by twitter?

and I wonder how much direction canon is putting into it...

I think those are spots for the teleconverters which would be great, and make the case far more useful.

My question about that photo is: was it taken by a spy satellite?  Could it be any worse? Any less informative?  Maybe that was on purpose.
