Have heard quite a few comments about a T4i in April - is this likely to come to anything?

I was expecting the announcement this week, to fit with the yearly pattern of rebel release...

Hopefully it will still be announced this month and available soon after :)

I have a feeling Canon will announce something for the EOS 25th anniversary (March 1).

The EOS 650 was their first camera announced for the new system (on Canon's 50th anniversary).

Fittingly, the next camera in the xxxD line is actually due to be the 650D!

It kinda makes sense that they announce that. Would be a great marketing angle.

Last month, the expected announcement date was (for some still is) february. If it doesn't come this month, the expected announcement date will be march. Or april. If it still isn't around then, it'll probably be may. Etcetera. Until eventually some concrete rumors emerge, or an actual announcement is made.
