Start complaining that the new 5d can't use efs lenses, doesn't have dual hotshoe mounts, a four layered sensor, a full hd 3d screen, can't take 3d images with one lens, and that it doesn't have 308 AF points, all of course crosstype and sensitive to f/249, and that 22MP was never enough for anyone, we want 220!!

And then we'll complain that the 5d4 costs too much because it has so much stuff; why does a camera so much better than the rebel cost more?!?!? It should be the same price or cheaper, because I want one.

Why doesn't canon ever give us what we ask for?!?!

This new body looks like a great camera. 

It is also what I was expecting, all depending on what the FPS is, and I am guessing somewhere around 7. 

If I wanted to buy a 5D MKII and a 7D, that is a $4100 proposition for the most part, so with a list of $3500, we will probably see $3200 and maybe $2900 by the holidays. 

I expect IQ to be better than the 5D, the AF looks much improved, and I am fine with 22MP. 

Will I buy?  Eventually... Maybe around the holidays... I have plenty of time to wait and see what the big MP camera that Canon releases is. 

This camera may not have the reach of the 7D that many like, but something tells me the IQ on this is going to be great, the AF better than the 7D, and if it has better weather sealing, and similar FPS... This is basically a best of both worlds camera.

I believe your camera already has better than that. I've heard around 7 stops "static" dynamic range for the eye.  It appears much more because we constantly adjust "exposure."  I.e., constant HDR.

I don't think so. I can see way more than my camera or at least I perceive that way. for instance, I can clearly see what's outside my window and see the interior of this dark room properly exposed. I don't get blown skies and highlights. Just shot with my camera and the room is either under exposed and clipped to black, or exposing for the room and the outside is blown out. Also if you notice, your eye can ajust to light on parts of the image unlike sensor where all sites are set to the same sensitivity. Just look at a light for a few seconds and then look at a solid gray wall. notice the patch?

I agree with that because it gives us the illusion of DR so seamlessly.

I just heard the 3D will have virtually no noise when shooting at ISO 104k and a framerate of 60fps. APS-H sensor at 75MP. The ultimate in Wildlife photography.
Canon is also apparently working on a 300-1600mm f/2L IS USM zoom lens that's made out of carbon-fiber and only weighs 2kgs.
