Not bad.  A few months back I picked up a San disk 32 160mb/s for 119 and I though I got a good deal... then the price kept falling and I kept price matching... my final price was $92ish... that was a good day.

Stark contrast to my 32GB (90MB) Extreme Pro I picked up shortly after getting my 5D3 two plus years ago - I paid $159 if memory serves me correctly. FWIW, the card is still a rock solid performer.

I love my card, but I have a f'd up card reader that desks my info... So that obviously needs to be fixed.

If you have USB 3 - get the Professional USB 3.0 Dual-Slot Reader - it's great - and if you don't have USB 3 - get the reader and a USB 3 card - they're cheap.

Oddly, I've found that my old Firewire card reader is faster than any USB 3.0 card reader I've ever tried.

My firewire reader died before getting this one, but it seems faster to me.  My motherboard has some kind of USB 3.0 turbo mode, though, so that might be why.

I have had good luck and fast speeds with the Transcend USB 3.0 RDF8 for $14.95.

Same here, I bought two of those. Some reason BH even removed the item from their website few days ago.

Have been thinking if Adorama would price match the sale they had, but they are out of stock also. Asked BH couple times if they'd ship the 2-pack instead (which they had in stock), but they denied. Maybe I should ask Adorama about those,... hmm...

I had actually ordered from B&H and Adorama, hoping one or the other will restock before my trip (I plan to keep both orders, by the way, as long as they don't cancel on me).
Neither have restocked, and both keep sending emails of regret. Bummer!

Not their fault if Lexar cannot supply them, but I cannot understand why not send 2-pack to me instead if 2x single-pack, since the 2-pack is in stock. Bummer.

I got me some Lexar CF cards at the weekend, and from a price point they are even cheaper sometimes (look at the 128GB cards for example):

I bought a 64 and a 128GB SD from Transcend, the one which is specified write 60MB/s; read 95MB/s.
They are faster then my Sandisk 95MB/s, at half the price.
FYI.

How far off are 1 TB CF cards?

Too far off for my budget... like a decade far off.

For just photos: overkill. Video maybe at the most, but then you need better CFast by then as the data transfer rates are better.

It is frustrating that Lexar 64GB regular CF cards (which about 10K people including myself have ordered at the lower price point) isn't in stock but 2-card packs are being sold well enough.
I don't understand- is Lexar bundling all the 64-GB cards into 2-packs to prevent the customers from getting the discounted price? This stinks!

I ordered a Lexar 64GB card during the last sale and Adorama told me it was the biggest seller.  Mine came about 2-3 weeks later...  I think it's a supply/demand issue, not any kind of trick on Lexar's part.

You ever shoot sports at high fps and using raw? I do.

For most normal shooting, overkill. For sports, no.

Well, I still haven't received mine either from B&H or from Adorama.
And if they have cards to put into 2-packs, they don't exactly seem to be running out of cards.

Anyway, it seems they will get it next week- just spoke to a rep. Fingers crossed.

Sorry to hear that - I hope it comes next week - and not to defend them, but they are probably out of the packaging.  It's a nice fast card, however, and worth the wait, especially for such a low price.

No, you're right.
I'm just being grumpy. Had a scare during my trip as I ran out of space on my cards- I deleted some images thinking they're backed up. Except they weren't.
Fortunately the Lexar software allowed me to recover the images, but they have a stupid key code you need from the original card package (which I had since thrown away, and wouldn't have carried on my trip anyway). So I had to wait until after the trip to recover them, when they mailed a key to me.
That made for unnecessary anxiety during the trip and one 16GB card I couldn't even touch, pressing me further for space.
Ah, well... end of rant.

Like many, I got the 64gb 1066x Lexar cards for $88 a pop when they were on sale. Ordered in May and they didn't come until last week. It's really a supply/demand issue - they will come eventually.

Oh, the joy! Just checked the order status page at B&H (usually I checked it about every 15 minutes or so, for past 2 months)

It just changed to: Status: In stock, order sent to warehouse Expedited Delivery
