Title: Canon 5D MKII Supply in UK
Post by: PeterB on January 19, 2012, 10:12:14 AM
Hi there, just joined the forum as it seems to be a very helpful, friendly place for information about my soon-to-be (hopefully) new camera, the 5D MKII.

I say "hopefully" because I snapped one up from Wex when their price went down to £2094 (for 24-105mm lens package) but they're on backorder. I emailed them asking if they have any information on when it'll be back in stock, but they haven't received an expected delivery date from Canon, citing the floods in Thailand as a possible explanation for delay.

So I was just wondering if anyone on here has any information about the Canon supply in the UK? I've read several conflicting things about how much the floods impacted Canons DSLR production, so I'd like to have some kind of idea when I'm going to get my new toy.

I'm getting mine from Digital Rev, but I see them in LCE all the time in southapton, not sure if used or not.

According to the Park Cameras website, the 24-105 kit version is in stock, but it's £2255. There are a few other places to look also from UK sellers.
