I agree a good post but when new things are released no matter what they are you can expect to pay list. Why do people have to be the first to own some new release? The depreciation they see over the subsequent months is the price for wanting to be part of that club. If you know full well that months later it will be cheaper why do it?

I think a "wish list" on these posts is a wise move as I am pretty sure Canon have someone dedicated to reading them. Particularly as it has been suggested that they deliberately leak information to see were there are any cracks in their organization.

I use a 60D when needing video capability and find that the flip screen adds a valuable extra dimension. The flip screen when reversed is a great screen protector too. My son has a 650D and the flip screen with touch screen abilities is tremendous - changing settings, pinching the screen to magnify when viewing .... it's the way ahead.

Ever experienced horse racing in Hong Kong?..... those in the Far East love a gamble and it even extends to the release of cameras - in this case the replacement 7D Mark II. I read a new post on which-canon-camera.com which says that Impress Magazine predict the release to be at 85% probability. Impress being based in Tokyo perhaps have a higher chance than most of getting it right. Lets hope the upgrade extends beyond fps and megapixels as that is all becoming boring.

I have checked out that post on which-canon-camera.com and it appears that could be the way to go as Duty and Shipping are paid and a warranty is supplied which is a major concern when buying across borders. Although some prices elsewhere are cheaper you might end up with a warranty that cannot be used easily in the event of a problem.
Yes Anden, of course Switzerland is not EU and VAT would be added making it 20% more expensive in UK and similar amounts in other EU countries. Not sure how that company in the post can afford to export and carry the cost of the duty but I know a few in UK that have used them and nothing but positives

Check this out even a Japanese buyer has to pay the equivalent of Yen 198,000 which is $2,400 - US only $2,100. I shall import and get it quicker. I just Googled this site which-canon-camera and found from a post on their blog I can save a heap of cash on list and duty paid too

Why is there so much difference on the pricing of the Canon 6D? Some countries really get a raw deal. From my digging around it seems US citizens will be able to pick one up for $2100 whilst if you are in the UK it's quoted on several sites at £1799 the equivalent of $2,900. That's 38% more expensive.

This guy has been busy trying to find release dates and just spotted a post today on which-canon-camera.com "Canon 6D released for worldwide shipment..." and having just looked into prices it's 16% cheaper

Have you heard that the 6D is out, in store and being sold for shipment next week. It's all very exciting Full Frame and WiFi all in one.
