EOS Bodies / Re: Big Announcements Coming Next Week [CR3]
« on: January 29, 2015, 12:33:30 PM »
Just thought of something...
5DS (53 megapixel)=Nikon D810
5DIV = Nikon D750
6DII = Nikon D610

It's starting to make sense I think..thoughts?

Or not.

7DII = Nikon ??

7DII = Nikon D7200. To be released @ CP+.

Finally something about LR6. Nice to hear that it will be coming and (as I read the post) it will not be cloud-only.  :)

Site Information / Easy access to categories?

as I see it, still every post on the canonrumors site is assigned to a category i.e. "Canon Reviews", "Canon Lenses", "Canon EOS 1D C", and so on.

But... where can I browse these categories? When I scroll down to the bottom of the site it says "No Categories". Is this a bug?

EOS Bodies / Re: NEW CAMERA - EOS 80D?

I love going back and reading comments in threads like these after the truth has been revealed.
+1  ;D
I wonder if the specs of the camera apart from the top LCD and scrollwheel will be exciting as well... Is it a good or a bad sign that we don't know anything about them yet?
The way Canon hypes the 750D by the way it is teasered makes me (whishful) think hope that they will be.  :D

So my guess: EOS 750D, top features: 70D sensor, swivel screen, top LCD, WiFi and NFC. That's it.
Far from it (IMHO). Additionally you forgot to mention the thumb wheel. :D
Togehter with some nice software features (adjustable AF drive speed as in 7DII, higher quality video, ...) and a little smaller/lighter form factor compared to the 700D I have to say I'd really go for such a 750D.  :-*

The days of the annual product cycle are over, new models will come with big advancements in technology
We will see electronic shutters soon.

I like the idea of longer product cycles for the sake of "big advancements in technology". I still hope Canon and I got the same definition of "big advancements" though.  ;)
Electronic (global) shutter sounds good (for video). :)

PS: @Canon rumors guy: your forum system messes up formatting/quotes if HTML formatting(?) is used (I deleted all <li>'s and <p>'s and the like)

PowerShot / Re: Three New PowerShot Cameras Coming Shortly

I'm really looking forward to that G7X. Let's see how it competes with RX100III and LX100...  ::)
However, Canon's naming scheme is totally confused.

EOS Bodies / Re: How does the reveal of the final 7D2 specs make you feel?

Whether I'll be excited or not will depend on the performance of the sensor including its DualPixel abilities...

EOS Bodies / Re: Patent: Canon 5 Layer UV, IR, RGB Sensor
« on: June 28, 2014, 04:50:44 AM »
Nobody's brought it up so I'll mention it. Isn't the timing on this interesting in that Canon just released a new version of DPP that isn't backwards compatible? Maybe the new RAW formula is already in the software?
Good point. I thought about it, too... but, why should the 6D, 1Dx... already use the new RAW formula?

Ya... nice. Please, Canon: announce the f*ckin camera. :D
And announce the T6i featuring the same sensor too, please.

Site Information / Split up RSS feeds in "rumors" and "other stuff"
« on: June 10, 2014, 12:05:14 PM »

I'd like to suggest to split up the RSS feeds as suggested.
I don't care too much about offers,    anniversaries of Canon gear, reviews and many more rumors-unrelated stuff.

I don't say they should not be posted, as probably there are a lot of people out there who are happy to read about offers for SD Cards or a 6D+Lens bundle, but for me, personally, these are not the reasons I visit canonrumors.com or what I'm interested in when I subscribe to the rss feed...

What do you guys think? Do you like the idea of splitting up at least the feeds in "rumors" and "other stuff" (everyone is encouraged to propose a better naming ;-))?

Is this a CR3?

I wonder if only stupid dickheads are working at Canon, but I guess this is not the case. ;-)
So what might be the disadvantage when using the "high-DR mode"?

EOS Bodies / Re: A New Rebel for CP+? [CR1]
« on: January 15, 2014, 04:39:58 AM »
I want a full frame rebel sl1.  ;)
I guess the T6i will have (exactly) the same sensor as the 70D. The 7D MkII will (maybe) get the new "masterpiece" as Canon did with the 7D.
This is why (in my opinion) the T6i will be announced prior to the 7D MkII and it implicates: lets wait for the 800D.  ;)

EOS Bodies / Re: Canon EOS 7D Mark II in 2014 [CR2]

I want APS-H sensors back!
Though I wouldn't be surprised if they increased the size of their projectors since 2006.
That's exactly it. I don't think the statements from 2006 still hold. At least, I hope...  ;)
