Wow.  1.25X zoom.

I guess those photographers in the research were taking jpeg pictures.  I spend hours looking & editing my pictures and they help my ability to remember them better, plus I still have pictures to remind me years from now.

The Sigma 70-200mm f/2.8 EX DG OS HSM might be a good chice for you as you can get it for $1,099 right now.  Fit both your need and budget.

My jaw is still on the floor. What an incredible product. Too bad I can't afford a set of these puppies :(

We could wait for some chinese knockoff ones.

It's good to see Canon does the right thing for thier C100 customers.  For $500, it just likes getting a new camera.

Pricewatch Deals / Re: Holy Crap! 6D for $1215 refurb from Canon!

$1,215 for a full frame, it can't get much better than this.

That would be an amazing lens to have a 24-105 f/1.4 for full frame.

Great set up and great photos to show what it can do.

I got my EOS 6D with 24-105mm f/4L IS earlier in June for a great price. I only paid $2,039 for it, brand new from a Canon Authorized dealer, plus $50 store coupon for next purchase that I used later on for the other stuff. So $2699 is no where near a deal to me.

Most photographers would blame priests and most priests would blame photographers.  Both were trying to do their jobs, but I think the photographer is more to blame.  Both bride and groom were standing still, why was the photographer shooting in burst mode and standing so close and behind the priest.

EOS Bodies - For Stills / Re: RAW or JPEG

Very well said.
Back in 2000 when I got my first digital camera that could shoot Raw, I did not understand it and used jpeg.  I was happy with the images, they were good for the time.  I kept on with jpeg even when I bought my first 40D.  Then I switched.  Now, when I view those old images that are locked into jpeg and realize that if I had the RAW files, I could easily reprocess them with a modern raw processor, I grimace at opportunity lost.  I've reprocessed all my older RAW images starting with many of the later 40D images, and vastly improved them.  Images that looked noisy at ISO 800 now are clean, and images at ISO 3200 are much better than before.  Its likely that the process can be repeated in the future as we get more computing power and more sophisticated software, but those old raw images are burned in forever.  In some cases, it doesn't matter, but some of those images were meant to be kept forever.

I would go for 5DIII.  2 bodies less lens changing or as back up body.
