Now I can see the $2099 final price at the check-out, hopefully the mail-in-rebate will work out without a glitch, that would be a real deal for such lens

you get what you pay for?I think they must be getting a special order/deal from Canon, I bought mine about 10 months ago on a special price similar to this, it was $2750 from Adorama and it was fully legit, came with valid warranty, USA model, the whole works. I think Canon needs to sell certain volume/year to keep the assembly line running at a steady rate and they were ahead of schedule so they are dumping a few hundreds at a fire sale.
I ordered one Sunday and got a message Sunday night. saying that a UPS label had been generated. A tracking number was included.I placed my order around noon Saturday, got the tracking number email Sunday late afternoon with an expected delivery for Wednesday 9/19 so I got really excited then nothing happened. I called UPS and it looks like they haven't picked up anything, it was just one big misunderstanding I guess.
I saw somewhere in the Adorama messages that orders placed on Sunday would be sent out before the holiday. Unfortunately, my order apparently did not make it out of the building before they locked the doors and went home. UPS says they still have not received the package.
Good thing I have plenty of cameras to use while I wait!
Has anyone else been watching their tracking number?
That would be really great oppportunity to show a new wide lens at the same time. A lot of excitement but the price tag will be even a bigger killer than this 3dx capabilities. 7900$? 4900$?I think the fact it can capture high-resolution images in both 3D and 46 MP at the same time leads me to suspect the price will be on the high side, but that's just my educated guess
Ahhh, Nothing goes by you.Does anyone else chuckle a little when they read, “The MFn button”? I do. Like, “Push the MFn button already!”"MFn" at the shutter suggests AF 7d alike?
Yes the MFn button is to cater for the newer AF system on new bodies like 7D, 1DX and etc.
"What's your MFn problem?”
Maybe they designed it for Samuel Jackson. LOL
"I'm sick and tired of all the MFn snakes in this MFn camera!
And what kind of a MFn AF system did they put in this MFn system. I'm MFn sick of all these MFn snakes in the pop-up flash compartment!"
AHAHHA i didnt get it at first 'MFn' but after this post it became clear..
