For weddings I throw a big 64gb SD card in there along with my 16gb CF cards and have it write RAW to both cards. At the end of the day I have a backup of everything I shot. The SD slot is slow though, I wouldn't use it for sports.

You can't compare Canon MTFs to Nikon MTFs. It's not a valid comparision.

Hey man, I really don't give a crap. I actually meant that I can come with an "assumption" if I want to.

The way I understand MTFs is that they are not comparable between brands because the the info is not gathered the same way. There are no standards.

If you want links, I have zero desire to find them for you. But I doubt you need them as you seem to be way-super-smart.

I actually made the same jump about 4 months ago. The 5D Mark III is an incredible camera. I don't think there is one single thing about it that I don't like. I've shot a couple of weddings with it so far and the high ISO is fantastic and a far underscored feature is the silent shooting. For weddings this is priceless! I went to a wedding and the photographer (who is crazy good) was shooting with a Nikon D3s and it was stupidly loud.

As someone that went from a 7D to a 5D3 and still own both I can so easily answer that.
Do I miss my focal ranges being just plain wrong? No.
FF feels like home.

I never look back. I keep the 7D as a back up at weddings but that's all, it's hardly ever used.

I recently shot at a very dark wedding reception too and I had an issue with the 5DIIIs outer points with a 430EXII.

I switched to the center column and it worked fine. *shrug, it didn't really bother me.

Even if the light was on during an exposure there is no way that little amount of extra light would affect the exposure. If that was enough light to throw off the exposure then the the AF point light would already be throwing it off. But, as neuro said, the lights are off then anyway.

I don't see this as an issue aside from the possible annoyance.

You're not in Live View mode, you are in Movie Mode. It's showing you the movie crop.

If you want to go to Live view just press the live view button. You don't have to flip the switch.
