EOS Bodies / Re: Camera Warfare! Epic battle with Canon Cameras
« on: July 27, 2012, 01:34:29 AM »
Very funny!

I was expecting to see a "Flash bang", where is it? Throw the 600 EX into enemy and flash!

There were actually several ideas we came up with a bit too late, however we would like to do another video like this, (during a different era) and if we're able to, those ideas will definitely be implemented!  :D

Yes, that's definitely Freddie and Brandon. We've collaborated with them a few times now, and they are really great guys to work with!

Glad to see everyone is enjoying it! It was definitely born out of pure love for filmmaking and the cameras we mostly use to do so!

EOS Bodies / 5DMKIII Video - Quite pleased
« on: June 21, 2012, 07:44:05 PM »
Shot a Chalk Art Festival last weekend. The featured artist drew a sweet Iron Man/Captain America mural. Filmed all on the 5DMKIII. I was very pleased with the performance especially with the night shots. Check it out.

Nice job.  I want Canon to send me cameras to do a video....... and a tank.  That way I can impress the girls like the guy in shot 2.

It's definitely all about impressing the ladies  8) haha.

We actually got to use the only fully functional Panzer Tank that exists in the United States. We got to fire it and everything  :o

Maybe no lenses were harmed, but that tank is probably scared for life!

Very Cool.

The tank is certainly scared for life! Funny story about the tank... The man sitting on it is a legit Frenchman, dressed as a US Soldier, sitting on a German Panzer Tank.. haha.

Also, it will take a couple of weeks to edit and release the video.. probably 3-4 weeks. I assure you I will post it here for all to see! I think everyone will really enjoy it!

EOS Bodies / WWII (Camera Warfare)
« on: May 07, 2012, 01:15:54 AM »
These are a couple of stills from our latest YouTube project. We shot 3 videos total over the course of two days. One of which was a "Camera Warfare" video that my Partner Devin and I conceived a long time ago. Nice to see it come to fruition! Canon sent us out 30+ camera bodies and lenses for the shoot. They also sent us a 600mm and 800mm lens. It was a blast. If you want to see the final results of the shoot you can go to www.youtube.com/devinsupertramp

These stills all came off of my 5DMKIII - Used a 70-200mm lens - Edited in Light Room 4

Does anyone have any good recommendations for  a portable power unit that I can run my flash unit off of? I have a 800watt Alien Bee flash unit.

Thanks!

I love the HDR mode. I shoot lots of indoor tours for Real Estate companies, and the HDR mode allows me to get awesome shots, and saves me TONS of time in post. Couldn't be happier with it.

EOS Bodies / Re: differences in color between Mark ii and Mark iii?

Looks like the skin tone looks more accurate with the MKIII. Strange that they would improve on a newly released camera. Shocked!

EOS Bodies / Re: any screen protectors for MarkIII?
« on: April 24, 2012, 02:09:06 PM »
I ordered the XO skin and received it the other day and removed it hours later. I didn't like how it didn't cover up the entire screen. It's off by a few mm. Also I couldn't get rid of some air bubbles no matter how much I squeegeed it and waited for the bubbles to dissipate. The material felt solid though. 13 bucks down the drain. Looks like I'll go screen protectorless.

thanks for the heads up. i think im going to wait for a good brand to come out with one. will probably use a crappy one for now

XO is awesome. They are the new kids on the block... but they don't suck. Very good skin manufacturer. I have them on my 5DMKIII and they fit great.
