Lenses / Re: Sigma 35mm f/1.4

I like my Sigma 35mm 1.4 a lot and use it on my 6D. It gives me some nice inspiration and does things i can´t achieve with my other gear.

Ok, the AF behaves a little strange from time to time but i had no serious problems with it.
I also think that in most situations the bokeh is really nice for such a wide lens. Only sometimes the bokeh struggles with complex high contrast backgrounds. From Pictures on the web i doubt that the Canon does any better but i never had the chance to use it.

The sharpness is just awesome and comparable with my 135 2.0L and 100 2.8 Macro L

Build quality is nice to but i don´t like the lens cap. Once it just fell of in my bag :(

dpreview says:

The EF-M mount is 58mm in diameter, with a flange distance of 18mm from the bayonet to the sensor. As the image above clearly shows it's matched specifically to the APS-C sensor size. So don't expect a future full frame EF-M mount camera - it's not going to happen.

Thank you for the fast replies and the feedback. The first one is also my favorite of this series of shots. I know what you mean bchernicoff regarding the last pic. I kind of like it even if it´s a little empty and the 14mm was the only lens i brought that day. The Pic is also rather a snapshot and was not that carefully composed.

And Ben your shots are amazing and gave me the last push to buy this lens. I really like the slower manual workflow and the image quality is really nice. Also the build quality is better than i expected an i was rather surprised by the small size of the lens.

Hi, i visited this forum nearly daily for the last couple of month and now decided to share my first post. Thanks for all the great informations and the wonderfull pictures. And excuse my english as i´m not a native speaker.

I just bought the Lens a couple of weeks ago and had not so much time to use it. Here are some shots I took at a small lake near my place. Not really fancy but i kinda like them. All shot with my 6D and edited in Lightroom. Any feedback is highly appreciated.
