Balaji: Very nice photo. And I do not agree with Mackguyver on the crop bit. What he says is generally the rule but I am not sure if it works for this picture.
I can see that too, sanj, and I really think a photo like this needs to be printed large - at least 11x14 to really appreciate it.  If it were my photo, I think I'd try both croppings to see which one I liked best, because at the end of the day, it's purely subjective and up to Balaji as to what he prefers.

Thanks Sanj and Mackguyver. I will try both options.

Thanks for the valuable comment and advise, will crop. Will upload more in the coming days. Weather was perfect and at 13000 ft it was only 32F, Layered clothing helped me stand there with my gear for 4 hours. can't ask anything for more :). Did notice that my batteries were draining faster though.

Speedlites, Printers, Accessories / Re: Flash setup help
« on: January 24, 2014, 11:05:19 AM »
I recently bought Canon 90EX Flash (which is usually bundled with Canon EOS M) as a master trigger on my 5DM3 to control 430EX. I wasn;t ready to spend $300 on a Canon Trigger or a more expensive 600RT yet.

I called Canon Tech Support to verify if it is compatible with 5DM3 before I bought it.

http://www.amazon.com/Canon-Speedlite-90EX-Flash-Camera/dp/B00GFWBOFC/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1390579113&sr=8-1&keywords=canon+90ex

I use this solely for family portraits. It works well for the money. As long as the slave Flashes (upto groups of 4) are in line of sight it works. Very light weight. The 90EX flash itself is just for fancy and does not illuminate the object like 430Ex though.

Hope this helps

Photography Technique / Re: Cheap LED Ringlight for Macro Photography

Hello Mr. Surapon,

Does the Neewer Flash come with a Diffuser? Do you see the individual LEDs or a Circle of light in your photos. Can you increase the intensity of the light or is it just one setting. I know I cant expect more for $35 macro flash but just curious.

Thanks
Balaji
Dear Balaji.
No, This Cheap LED Ring Light( 2 Years ago-Old Technology) is can not Dim, and Do not have the Separated Diffuser ( It come with Build in Diffu.), BUT, We can turn on the whole ring light, or Just Left Side, or Right Side = Great for created Shade and shadow for Subject , which created 3D. Effected of the Photos.

 "  - 6 x Adapter Rings Included! (49mm/52mm/55mm/58mm/62mm/67mm)
-=Specially designed ring shape is perfect for MACRO photography (close-up).
-This light has a double-duty power supply design which allows you to use 2 x AA batteries or DC power
   - This lighting unit provide a continuous lighting (not flashing), the continuous lighting allows you handle exposure easily.
    -Also great for portrait photography."

My lens arrived yesterday from B&H. First look: Metal, Heavy and beautiful and slightly sharper than F4 (@f2.8 vs f4) but cant find difference at @ F4 on both lens.

Is there anything specifically look for in the lens itself for defects?

Will have to compare my F4 with the new F2.8. Have to upgrade my Lowepro Microtrekker 200 bag (bought in 2001) to fit my 2.8 attached to 5DM3. Will search the forum for bag ideas.

My Lens is scheduled to be delivered today :) eagerly waiting

Just Ordered Canon EF 70-200 f/2.8L IS II from B&H, couldn't resist the price drop on this one. So now, what am I going to do with my EF 70-200 F4L IS which I bought with my 5DM3 (No experience selling a lens before  :-\  but will have to do now).
Congratulations!
BTW, selling an L glass is a lot easier than you think, just put it up for sale on your local online site and see calls coming in ... Good luck, hope you get a good price.

Thanks Rienzphotoz, thats encouraging :)
