Lenses / Re: New Canon L Primes, but Not Until 2015 [CR2)
« on: July 28, 2014, 04:48:09 PM »
I guess 2015 is the "Year of the Lens"  ;D  I'd totally be interested in a new 135L with IS.  A new 50L would be too expensive for me though.  Anything above $1300 would feel like passing a kidney stone.

I've had good experiences with eBay. I've only sold 3 items (7D, 70-200 f4, and 24-105). It is a lot harder to get scammed nowadays. eBay holds the paypal balance for a short period after the sale to protect the seller and buyer to help prevent scams. Your seller status determines how long this period is. I usually get my funds a day or two after the item has been delivered. The key is having good photos and being completely honest about any wear or scratches. I purchased all of my gear on eBay and have had zero issues, but I usually buy from top sellers.

I would gladly invite the 5DIII to swing over and party with me and my 6D. We would have lots of fun interchanging lenses. I would treat her like a goddess. Perhaps 6D would get jealous, but I'd love them both.

Some old school flags.

Canon can't offer me what Sigma and Tamron can.  Exceptional f/2.8 zoom lenses at a price that doesn't require selling organs.

This sucks!  No more competition for Adobe.  I have a bad feeling about this.

I liked the low light focus test you did with the 6D and D600.  Seeing as how the Sony is supposedly the new king of low light, this would interest me.

I've been using a Meike grip on my 6D since it came out.  No issues.

I really want this lens. 8)

I like to own the software I purchase.  I think I'll pass on CC.  If lightroom ever goes CC, I'll just use something else.

I just looked at the comparisons between the Sigma and Canon 1.4 on The Digital Picture's site.  From what I can see, the Sigma destroys just about all of them in IQ.  50 is probably my favorite focal length.  I believe I can see this lens in my future.
