Technical Support / Re: Bluetooth dongle for GPS connectivity on WFT-s

Yeah, that product I know, but it's protruding too much out of 1D-series WFT module transmitter.
My shooting situations are sometimes agressive and I'm afraid I'll break the thing too easy. My search is still in progress...

EOS Bodies - For Video / Re: Inside the Canon EOS-1D C

Indeed. As a proof of concept, one who has resources, will crack it sooner or later. It's always been like this. Other thing is, what to do with this knowledge.

Lenses / Re: Please help, did I receive a defective lens? 40mm f/2.8

Sounds same like mine in MF mode, when rapidly scrolling focus. Think that it's normal to this lens.

What about that Canon multilayer sensor patent some time ago?
Could it be this, what materializes into big Mpixel?

Lenses / Re: help!! 40mm f/2.8 or 50mm f/1.4?

I have both and prefer 40 f/2.8.
5Dc and this is killer (read: cheap  8) ) combo for street/everyday pics.

EF 400 F4 or F5.6 are on my dice.
Preferably F4 + throwing in EF 1.4x extender.

I've been reading some very good astrophotography hints from this website:
http://www.astropix.com/HTML/I_ASTROP/TOC_AP.HTM

I managed to take some basic moon astro pictures, but nothing serious yet. Equipment is ready, but my mental state not yet  ???

If new are L treatment TS-E, when kiss goodbye on-lens designation - version II
Pricewise could be same as 24 v2. Not less, if L lenses.

That special could also be new 135 softfocus.

EOS Bodies / Re: Will the 6D have video AF

As I read 6D (WG & N models) instruction manual, it cannot focus during video recording.

Why I use Canon?
Well, in my case, there was very big point to get local service.
And Nikon had/has none. Maybe better now, but still...
And choosing today, it'd still be Canon.
At least things here in Estonia are this way.
Maybe this is not a problem in major market countries.
My 2€  ???

Lighthouse light artifacts or ghosting? At long exposures every odd thing can produce this kind on efex.
At least 1-series starting from mk2 switch amp off when doing long exposures. Did yesterday 30 minutes shoot (1Ds3) and no problems. Only some hot/dead pixels when looking at pixel level.

Technical Support / Bluetooth dongle for GPS connectivity on WFT-s
« on: November 10, 2012, 04:29:25 PM »
I have WFT-E2 II B and want to use bluetooth GPS (Qstarz BT-Q1000EX) for tagging.
No connection success with my two BT adapters (Trust and Trendnet).
Preferably I'd want some shorty BT adapter to keep protruding size minimal and keeping things wireless.
If someone has same WFT like mine, and managed to get connection working with some tiny BT adapter, please let me know.
