For Europe-folks:

Sigma announced price in Poland at roughly 3500 PLN, which translates to about 850 Euro. ( which probably means that dollar price will be about $850  :) )

From the reviews I've read - optical quality is good to very good. However, mechanical quality isn't stellar, and that is not-so-good news for a T/S lens...

I had some experience with this Samyang - as others said, the only thing that may annoy is the moustache-style distortion. Everything else is ok.

Tokina 16-28 / 2.8 is also worth a look.

Price in Europe dropped of 10% already: 2100 to 1900€.

Even 20% in UK: 1950 to 1615 GBP.

In Poland local Canon partners revealed the price will be 7800 PLN, which is roughly 2437 USD or 1500 GBP. Not so bad.

Third Party Manufacturers / Re: Samyang 24mm f/3.5 Tilt-Shift Announced
« on: September 10, 2012, 03:14:28 PM »
I had experience with 8mm fisheye, 14mm and 85mm Samyang lenses - all of them are sharp and contrasty. AF is a show stopper for me in 85/1.4 lens - it was too hard for me to use it on a daily basis. 8mm fisheye and 14mm are much easier in nailing the focus spot on. Tilt-shifts are manual anyway. If it's well corrected ( distortion, CA, flare ), then maybe I'll buy their newest offering.

During Euro 2012 in Poland, a friend of mine saw four 1D X's . Probably pre-production models, but still nice to see.
