The latest version of the Canon EOS Digital Solution disk is 27.1 bundled with the EOS 6D. The software in the CD is not freeware according to Canon's EULA. You should buy one???

Did you mean "Canon Digital Photo Professional 4"? I have never heard any news about the next major update of Canon Digital Photo Professional.

DPP3 lunched at least 5 years ago and the latest version of DPP is 3.12.52.0 which was released on Dec. 12, 2012.
 
It may be too odd for software that has such a long live life cycle. DPP3 is getting long in the tooth indeed.

Who wrote that app?
Canon? Or just some guy who works elsewhere?

If canon wrote it, then ok, it's more believable.
But still, 4 in Chinese / Japanese is 四, 'sì' in Mandarin. Death is 死, 'sǐ'.

They've just proven that there will be no G13 or G14 (14, 十四, 'shī sì', sounds like 尸死, 'shī sǐ', 'dead corpse', 逝 shì means die, 弑 shì means 'murder a superior' (yes, I just went through my dictionary and found them)).

In short, they're a superstitious bunch (or at least, they acknowledge that their customers are), there will never be an EOS 4D.
I'm guessing that some other guy wrote the app, and it's a typo, he really meant to write '3D', which will be the kick-ass high-MP camera we're all waiting for

YES YES! Most of us Chinese do not like even hate the number 4 'cause it is pronounced as “si”, which means DEATH. Numbers for vehicles contain 4 are mostly disliked. The “4D” pronounced as “死滴" which means the deaths. We prefer number 8 as it sounds like “發", which means big money will hit you! If Canon releases EOS 888D, it will be very good for China marketing.

Will the .5 year old firmware version 2.1.2 be the last and final official for the EOS 5D Mark II? The camera is still in Canon’s camera lineup and has not been discontinued. Please share your thoughts.

The camera does not support the GPS receiver or update the lens firmware which is mostly needed for the 40mm pancake lens owners.

See the major firmware update for the EOS 7D, may the 5D2 too old to get some items of it?

It is 100% fake.

The photoshopper never focused on the current font printed on the front ring of the lens. It is Frutiger series, not Arial-like.

Please check what you said. The latest EOS Utility has stoppted supporting some discontinued cameras.

The latest version of Digital Photo Professional (3.11.31.0) also does not fully support the new pancake. The lens aberration correction function cannot be applied for the RAW images shot with the lens.

Is there an EOS Utility updater that has the peripheral illumination correction data for the new EF40mm f/2.8 STM? My body is the EOS 5D Mark II.

Anybody who has bought the EOS-1D X and 650D please try to share your bundled latest EOS DIGITAL Solution Disk image.
