Would like to see an f/4 version of this lens to make it equivalent to the 24-105. 5.6 at the long end can be a bit slow.

Read the papers again - the 60d has 1/250s x-sync, 1/8000 shutter, faster fps and a deeper buffer for continuous shooting. For me, I'd never want a camera body without a back wheel or top lcd - but ymmv if you don't switch settings often and are a "p" guy.
1 question that worrys me with the touch screen is the nose interface
more specifically the nose on my face interfaceing with the screen
the key in that review was the high iso was smudgy which indicates the same new jpg engine with over the top noise reduction, its going to be interesting to see what raw files deliver
And here's a quick user review of 650D vs. 550D: http://forums.dpreview.com/forums/readflat.asp?forum=1031&thread=41872106
Personally unless you are going to get a cheap price on a used 60D I thik you would be better off going with the new T4i or wait since the 60D doesnt have AFMA hopefully they will put that back with the 70D
For sports, the 7D is the way to go...
I havent been to india (I would love to go though ) however I spend alot of time in china
and the 2 countries have similar population densities. In china I quite often found even 50mm on full frame too long. the 16-35 f2.8L II is my most used lens in these crowded places. With heavily crowded areas there simply isnt the working room to bring a 70-200 to bear.
