I had a notification set up to let me know when the 24-70mm came back in stock and got it late last night.  Looks like a lot of things were added, decided to get the 85mm which I have been needing more

WOW!  I was able to see it up here in the Bay Area where it passed over the Golden Gate Bridge twice.  Sadly, no great shots for me... Yours were phenomenal, well done!

Mine arrived at the UPS facility 5 miles from my house yesterday afternoon.  It will be sitting there until Monday. #totalfrustration

Today was my first day getting paid, doing contract work for a local portrait company (yay me!).
 
Mostly I've been lucky that through friends and networking, I've been able to do get my kids summer camp covered (by doing a photo trade with the camp), products for the family and toys for my kids with small vendors, some nice meals from friends who own restaurants and need food shots.  No real money yet, but small things that we wouldn't normally be able to afford and that I can put into a portfolio.  I'm a stay at home mom and am happy with this for now, once my youngest is in school fulltime am looking forward to transitioning into more paid work

Oh my God, people.  It was a one day sale on eBay from Adorama.  Many of you are supposing some grand Canon conspiracy.  I just read it as Adorama overordered and are clearing inventory for both the D600 and 6D.  It is just ONE retailer for just ONE day!  All the presuppositions about Canon's demise are silly. 

It does suck for those who paid $3500, but it seems like most of those people are professionals who appreciate the quality of the camera and use it as a work tool.  Anyone else, you thought the camera was worth that much so you paid that price for it.  Now please just go out, shoot with it and enjoy it for crissakes

Definitely me  .  I think I was in the 280's on Saturday early afternoon.  Since I'm on the West Coast, UPS tracking says Monday delivery... it will be a V E R Y long weekend for me

Doh! After waiting to talk to my wife about it and her definitely approving of it, I went to order it... and it is now sold out! 

As soon as I saw the post and checked it out, I had to sit patiently and wait for my husband to return from an errand.  I pretty much jumped on him like an overeager labrador as soon as he walked through the door to see if I could go ahead with it and he had the nerve to say that he had to "think about it"... thus walking to his "office" aka, the bathroom.

After standing outside outside the door tapping my foot, I just decided to make an executive decision and go for it.

After he came out, 20 minutes later- I might add-, he said "Sweetie, I know you've been wanting this for a few years now, why don't you go ahead?"

I just smiled and said "Thank you" 

Sorry you missed out this time around JasonATL, at least you know you have permission for the next time

I've been wanting to upgrade from my 50D for a few years now and thought I wouldn't be able to get the 5Dmk3 until next year, so this was a really great surprise!  Thanks for posting, OP!
